VLAN

A VLAN is a subgroup within a network, which combines a group of devices from multiple physical LAN segments. VLANs enhance network efficiency and security by segmenting networks into smaller parts, even if users and resources are not physically located together. This allows network administrators to better manage traffic, restrict access, and improve bandwidth performance. In web hosting, VLANs can be used to separate different types of traffic (e.g., user access, server communication), which is crucial for large-scale and complex hosting environments.
